Volt Charge Partners with Jetwing Hotels to Expand Sri Lanka's EV Charging Network

Volt Charge, Sri Lanka's largest EV charging network and a subsidiary of JAT Holdings PLC, has partnered with Jetwing Hotels to deploy charging stations across eight Jetwing properties nationwide, marking one of the country's most significant hospitality-sector expansions of public EV charging infrastructure.

The partnership brings nine Volt Charge stations to Jetwing's premium portfolio, spanning properties including Jetwing Sea, Jetwing Beach, Jetwing Lagoon Wellness, Jetwing Saman Villas, Jetwing Kaduruketha, Jetwing Surf & Safari, Hotel J Unawatuna, and Mask & Tide. Four of the nine stations were already operational at the time of the announcement.

The rollout extends Volt Charge's reach into Sri Lanka's hospitality sector, which the company views as a strategically important channel. Hotel guests travelling by EV require reliable charging during overnight or multi-day stays, and the ability to charge at the destination rather than seeking out a public station addresses one of the most frequently cited barriers to EV adoption on longer journeys. Jetwing's properties span the island from the North Western coast to the deep south, together helping to fill gaps in Sri Lanka's inter-city charging infrastructure.

The Jetwing agreement comes as Volt Charge continues to add enterprise partners across multiple sectors. The company's hospitality network already includes Hilton, Cinnamon Hotels, Avenra, and Anantaya Resorts, while its retail and commercial presence extends to Keells Supermarkets, Dilmah Tea, and Aitken Spence offices, among others. Together these partnerships have helped Volt Charge build a public network of over 85 charging points, with more than 10,000 registered users on its Volt OS platform.

For Jetwing, the integration of EV charging reinforces the group's positioning as a sustainable hospitality brand. Sri Lanka's EV market has accelerated considerably since the government's import tax framework for electric vehicles was revised, and hotel guests arriving in EVs are no longer an edge case at premium properties in the Colombo commuter belt or along the Southern Expressway corridor.

Volt Charge designs and manufactures its chargers in Sri Lanka. Its AC home chargers carry TÜV Rheinland certification tested in Germany, and its DC fast chargers are certified by EMTEK Group.
